At the CHS Water Commission, a concession is being processed for a volume of 20 hm³ per year from the volumes of the Torrevieja desalination plant, for the resupply of the irrigable areas of the Tajo-Segura transfer, once the concessions of the CSR-16/2019 file have been granted.
On 06/14/2023, the volume of the special authorization granted to the Commonwealth of the Canales del Taibilla O.A. was modified. from a volume of 40 hm³ to a volume of 20 hm³, to adapt it to art. 13, section 12.n, of the Hydrological Plan of the Segura Hydrographic Demarcation, approved by Royal Decree 35/2023, of January 24, published in BOE nº 35 of February 10, 2023. The volumes released after the review of the authorization must be submitted to the project competition process in accordance with the provisions of article 105 of the Regulation of the Hydraulic Public Domain.
On the occasion of the Announcement of project competition for the concession of the volumes produced by the Torrevieja desalination plant for irrigation of the Tajo-Segura Transfer areas in the provinces of Alicante, Murcia and Almería (file CSR-0002/2024) published in the Official State Gazette No. 20 dated 01/23/2024 and having completed the deadline for submitting documentation, it is reported that the opening of applications will take place on the date, place and time indicated below:
