The Campo de Cartagena seawater desalination plant (Valdelentisco desalination plant) is a work declared of general interest to the State by article 36.5 and Annex II of Law 10/2001, of July 5, of the National Hydrological Plan. This plant is operated by the state company ACUAMED, S.M.E. S.A.
