Visits

The visitor center has a guide service that adapts the visit to the needs and peculiarities of the groups that visit the Casa del Agua.

Guided tours are for groups of up to 80 people and the duration is approximately two hours. You can request the day and time by calling 968 96 57 60 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

For many years the Casa del Agua has received visits from school groups, adapting the educational activities and didactic workshops that the center offers to the different age groups:

• Children under 10 years of age are given an explanation about the content of the models, they are offered games and experiments with water and the film “Water in the life of a girl” is shown. They are also taught the environment of the center and educational workshops are held.
• From 10 years onwards, they visit the exhibition museum with the staff who guide them and explain the content of the models dealing with the subject of the types of dams, their construction and the reason for the construction of each of the exposed dams. Films referring to the Segura basin such as “Yo el Agua”, “Yo el Segura” are shown to them, they are guided to the other facilities offered by the House of Water and they will be able to enjoy the rest in the outdoor area where they can see the reservoir and the Santomera dam. In addition, they can take the tour on foot to the dam, explaining the elements of it, and its operation.

On the other hand, the Casa del Agua is being a tourist attraction for visitors who are staying around the reservoir.

The center also receives visits from professional associations and companies related to water interested in the history of the Segura basin, and they can use the facilities as a meeting place and conferences.
