The annual report responds to the guidelines established by the different regulations, mainly the DMA and RD 817/2015, of September 11, which establishes the criteria for monitoring and evaluating the state of surface waters and the standards of environmental quality. These establish the criteria to be followed to assess the status of a body of surface water, taking into account both the ecological status and the chemical status. In addition, the status of protected areas is evaluated.
