On this page you will find the document “ Exotic Invasive Species of the Segura River basin. Priority lists and manual for its management ”.

It is the product of the work of numerous specialists in Invasive Exotic Species (EEI), and constitutes the culmination of action A2 of the LIFE + RIPISILVANATURA project (LIFE13 / BIO / ES / 1407), which foresees the production of a document with the EEI catalogs of concern for the basin (flora and fauna) and a series of guidelines that may be included in the next revision of the Segura Demarcation Hydrological Plan.

The document includes a list of the priority species (27 taxa of fauna, 20 of flora), identifying the problem that it represents (or may represent, in the case of species that are not yet present in the basin) , as well as a list of species with invasive potential (75 taxa of fauna, 40 of flora).

For each of the priority species, and 24 of the species on the list of potentials, a monographic record has been made, with a description of the biology of the species, its pathways for introduction and expansion, the habitats affected, the effects and impacts, or a series of recommendations and general bases for management.
