Hearing and public information on the draft proposal for the revision of the special plan for droughts and the strategic environmental document

In the BOE of March 30, 2023 the General Directorate of Water has begun the public hearing and information period for the corresponding "Project Proposal for the revision of the Special Drought Plan" and "Strategic Environmental Document" documents to the Western Cantabrian, Guadalquivir, Ceuta, Melilla, Segura and Júcar river basin districts, and to the Spanish part of the Eastern Cantabrian river basin districts within the scope of the State, Miño-Sil, Duero, Tagus, Guadiana, and Ebro.

For such purposes, the documents corresponding to the Segura hydrographic demarcation may be consulted for three (3) months, counting from the day following the publication of this announcement, on this website. Within this period, contributions may be made and as many observations and suggestions as are deemed appropriate addressed to this basin organization.

The email address oficina.planificacion@chsegura.es has been made available to interested parties for the formulation of consultations and comments on said process of consultation and public participation.

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 27, 2016, and Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the protection of personal data and guarantee of digital rights, to the extent that the documents of proposals, observations and suggestions submitted by the various interested parties contain personal data, will be processed by this hydrographic confederation and may be transferred to the rest of the Public Administration bodies with competence in the matter in order to guarantee the consultation of the aforementioned documents. Whoever participates in this process may exercise the rights of access, rectification, cancellation, opposition, portability and limitation of their data, by contacting this basin organization.

During this public information period, the possibility of filling out a Survey related to the Special Drought Plans and other aspects related to drought planning and management is offered. This survey will be available until June 30 at the following link:

On the other hand, on April 13, a public conference was held to present the revision of the Special Drought Plans of all the inter-community demarcations in the Assembly Hall of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge. Most of the development of the day (except, due to some technical problems, the first minutes of its development) can be seen through the department's YouTube Channel. Likewise, the presentation made at the Conference by the General Subdirector of Hydrological Planning, Víctor Arqued, on the new Special Drought Plans is facilitated.

Conference on participation and dissemination of the review of the Special Drought Plan in the Segura Hydrographic Demarcation

On May 22, 2023, a day of participation and dissemination of the Special Drought Plan was held in the Assembly Hall of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Murcia, located in Plaza San Bartolomé, nº 3 with the objective of to disseminate the main aspects of the aforementioned plan revision proposal and encourage the participation of the general public during the public information period.

Said day has also been broadcast electronically through the Microsoft Teams application to facilitate its monitoring.

A total of 70 people have attended the conference, 46 in person and 24 online, who have been able to participate in these conferences both in the same session those who have attended in person, and those who have followed telematically through email.

Technical table for updating the information of the Urban Supply Emergency Plans

On May 24, 2023, a Technical Roundtable was held to update the information on the Urban Supply Emergency Plans in the Cajamar Assembly Hall, located at Plaza Julián Romea, 4 in Murcia.

The objective of the meeting, which is intended for the group of 25 responsible entities (24 Town Halls and the Commonwealth of the Taibilla Canals), is to collect and update the information contained in the CHS in relation to the status of processing of their Emergency Supply Plan, and to inform them of the forecasts contained in the draft revision of the Special Drought Plan, on the day of the Technical Roundtable in public consultation.

The assistants have been able to participate in the session raising the questions that were of their interest.
